Investigate EXPRESSIONISM with Brave Bold Drama
Join Agents Kahlo and Dali of the Company of International Artists (a top secret global creative agency) for a creative mission investigating EXPRESSIONISM!
We will see what interesting ideas we can find hiding in the surrealist works of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, then you’ll have the opportunity to use a range of creative materials to make your own art inspired from the work we’ve been exploring.
The creative mission will end with Agents Kahlo and Dali singing all the ideas you found in the pop art back to you in an improvised song!
This workshop is also a great introduction to our playable family theatre show The Munch Mission! This show also features Agents Kahlo and Dali, is also about Edvard Munch’s The Scream, and is playing at Bristol’s Wardrobe Theatre on Sunday 23rd April. Details here!
Suitable for children aged 6+. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. There are 12 children’s places available per session. We advise you don’t bring much younger siblings with you as there is limited space for toddlers to hang out in the workshop area.
The workshop is located within the former Shoezone shop in Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Knowle. It’s happening here because we are resident artists of Hypha Studios, who pair up artists with empty shop units.
There is free parking for up to 2 hours in the multi-storey attached to Broadwalk, but please be advised this does often fill up, so try to allow enough time to find alternative street parking if the multi-storey is full.
The attendance fee you choose is to cover the art materials and the artists’ time.
The Company of International Artists is a multi-form project by award-winning theatre & community arts company Brave Bold Drama.
