Marking Time is a group show about texture. A sister show to “Behold”, a group show about touch starting immediately after. Welcome to the opening event on January 20th 6-9pm

Marking Time brings together nine emerging female and non-binary artists in a celebration of mark-making and texture, a distinctive characteristic in the case of several of the artists’ work. Textural gradations are summoned across a range of media including photography, drawings, textiles, films of performances and sculptures. The artists explore interactions between interior landscapes and outward experience through their differing mark-making approaches, summoning a range of sensations from whispery tenderness to the raw and visceral.
