Calling all kids, aged 5 – 11 years, living in East London ⭐️ Get ready for an exciting afternoon of zine-making with Artizine UK. We’re curious to find out how do you think the city would look like if it was a playground? 👀

YOU WILL LEARN:

✂️ How to make your own zines from scratch,

✏️ Draw and share your stories about the city in a fun and unique way.

What is a zine? Zines are small, handmade books you can use to draw your own visual stories or anything else you can think of. All you’ll need is a sheet of paper and scissors!

WE PROVIDE:

🎨 Free access to art materials & snacks,

🍄 Fun bean bags designed by artist Lottie McCarthy to sit and play with,

📖 A zine library which you can explore during the workshop.

About the facilitator:

Ioana is an artist and facilitator living in Forest Gate, East London. She runs creative workshops and community art projects under the artistic identity of Artizine UK. Her socially-engaged practice explores the use of zine-making as a vehicle to empower individuals to share their stories, develop creative skills and practice wellbeing.
