A1 is a multidisciplinary movement and visual artist who works on multi-dimensional storytelling. He’s very passionate and energized about providing a platform for marginalized voices. In his practice, he enjoys creating and reimagining experiences through mixing of mediums and telling stories that compel audiences/viewers to connect with others through symbolism, fantasy, movement and interaction with tech. He uses these lenses to explore themes around perception, critical thinking, emotion, memories, image, and identity.
He has worked with Battersea Arts Centre, Ambient lit, Bristol Museum and Art gallery, Charing Cross Theatre, Dice Recordings, Paper Arts, Rising Arts Agency, Spike Island, SWX, The Station, University of Bristol, UWE, Diverse city, EBYA and Walworth Academy.
His ideas for public events centre on storytelling around the impacts of image and identity. He will showcase collaborative work through the screening of short films, stage an exhibition and a small panel discussion featuring himself, an expert and another collaborator.
