How Erin will use her free studio
In the space she will bring a sewing machine and work on large scale textile pieces exploring zero waste cutting deadstock materials and turning it into banners/flags that can then also be developed into clothing. Erin will also run upcycling and creative fashion drape, zero waste cutting and styling workshops to engage community in thinking about how textiles and clothing are made and challenges the industry faces with fast fashion production. Erin will also run workshops in zero waste cutting upcycling, fashion drape and styling in a fun and accessible way open to all levels for experimentation in these process and open discussion.
