Hypha Residency in Barking & Dagenham

Working with the local authority, Hypha Studios created an artist residency for creatives to live & work in Alderman Jones’ House on the Becontree Estate. The selected artists lived in the house amongst its original century-old fittings & decorations, creating a public programme of events for the local community to learn & engage with the history of the area. We held three residencies across four months, placing artists from across the UK.
