The initial principle and ultimate doctrine of law is CORPUS DELICTI. Translated from Latin as BODY OF THE CRIME, it is designed to protect the coerced or those vulnerable to false confessions. Potentially, preventing convictions of crimes not yet proven to have occurred. For example, in the case of murder, the body of the deceased would be the proof. However, in instances where there can be no evidence of the actus rea (the guilty act), such as with arson, alternate evidence must be gathered.

Art seeks not to give you all the facts. Mostly, it aims to stimulate a transference of non- linear and often inexpressible knowledge. This is what we believe makes Art an enduring tool of wonder. A mark made is evidence of creativity triumphing over preconceptions to what can exist. A series of marks becomes ritualised and, eventually, sacrament for the artist. We then attempt to refine the potency of our worship so that the viewer can react more candidly. So here, your response is the proof. For this show, in collaboration with HYPHA Studios, Ivet Monova has curated artists with a wide range of thematic practices such as: life cycles, heritage, paradoxes, modern horror, internet esotericism, automatism, boundaries, polarities, folk, loss, worship within a trans experience, and more. Some present bodies, while some present evidence of acts unseen. Yet, we share a unified ambition — to find individual and meaningful languages of expression. However intangible the evidence may be.
