Patsy Cane

Patsy is a fluid based artist from Stowmarket, using acrylics on canvas but also on wood, glass and ceramics. She will use this studio to create larger works than she usually makes due to the lack of space and will explore other materialities such as resin and inks.

Public Programme

Patsy will create working artist workshops in the space, dividing it into sections, one to be used for a creative space allowing enough space to enable to to walk around large pieces (the canvases she has can be as large as 1.5m x 1.5m). Another area will be utilised for curing purposes (minimum of 4 weeks) and storage for materials (paints, canvases, pouring mediums, varnishes amongst many more). Lastly, Patsy will create a space for photographing the works with appropriate lighting and backdrop.
