We are looking for an artist or a collective that is looking for exhibition space for a large work or installation. The vitrine gallery is a new space designed into 1 Liverpool Street, a building currently under construction, designed by Eric Parry Architects, and on a road with large footfall.
We are looking for ideas that speak to the local landscape, communities & history & to think about the cultural, social & physical archaeology of the surrounding area
This space is a vitrine gallery which does not need to be managed, nor does there need to be events to bring the community into the space as it is not a unit you can go into.
PLEASE NOTE:
– It is a large window gallery, which will be in a very prominent location in the heart of the City of London, which will have extremely high footfall and visibility
– Vitrine dimensions are 312 (h) x 238 (w) x 102 (d) cm
– Viewable from the street only (not from the sides)
– You will be responsible for installing (and maintaining) your own artwork if you are selected.
– The artwork is (and remains yours) throughout the period of display.
