An exhibition tracing the suspended spaces between beginnings and endings.
To Heaven-gate Ascend explores the ephemerality between stages of life — the sense of in-betweenness within transitions. These are quiet moments suspended between a long pause before a beginning, and the breath just after an end. We imagine a parallel space, where alternative paths unfold beside our own.
Through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, video, and digital work, artists reflect on how decisions, whether deliberate or accidental, intended or imposed, shape divergent paths. These works trace such suspended territories, where origin, passage, and destination begin to blur. To Heaven-gate Ascend invites viewers to linger in these suspended moments, to reflect on the paths we follow, the ones we leave behind, and those that quietly await, real or imagined.
As part of the exhibition programme, Sandbox, a rotating pop-up platform situated backstage will unfold in collaboration with invited art practitioners. Running throughout the exhibition period, Sandbox offers a parallel space for process, experimentation, and emergent dialogue, in response to the shifting journey of To Heaven-gate Ascend.
