Estelle Homerstone (She/Her) is a 6-time award-nominated
producer, actor and theatre maker. She is the owner of Estelle Homerstone Productions, which is a 100% neurodiverse and queer collective, championing new writing and genre-bending theatre.
Estelle Homerstone productions is working on a new musical, ‘Run to the Nuns’, which is a queer musical set in a modern nunnery. It is an actor-musician musical about community, anarchy and queer spaces. It focuses on femininity, queerness and the collaborative work practice of neurodivergent people. They wish to enter a process of research and development, which will end with a public showcase of new material.
Estelle is lead writer, and practically develop the new script in the space with actors that she will hire over part of this 6 weeks. This process will lead to a public sharing of 60 minutes of performed material.
In the room there will be Estelle as Creative Producer, director Sophia Hail, dramaturg Stella Blakeley and trans researcher Dani Croston. They want to host: 1) An open devising workshop based on telling authentic queer and trans stories 2) A performance event showcase the developed material from the R and D process.
