FREE exhibition SPACEs in partnership with eat work art

PERIOD: 2 slots:

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Sunday 25th August 2024, 6pm

Apply via the form below!
We have partnered with Eat Work Art to provide free exhibition spaces at their sites at Netil House and Hackney Downs over the Frieze period and beyond.

We are looking for collectives of artists or curators that are looking for free exhibition space, to be part of a rolling programme. The site will be used for free – in return you will use the space fully & organise some public- facing events as part of your occupation. This could be workshops, talks, performances or anything which supports your creative practices. You will need to apply as a group.

This opportunity is open to curators or artists that can easily access the space, so living in East London. We are especially interested in how you engage the local community in the studios and surrounding areas. We will prioritise those that cannot normally afford exhibition space, and believe that this opportunity might help them reach the next stage of their career. We are committed to supporting creatives and communities most in need & will prioritise creatives who declare they are struggling – whether financially, mentally or physically.

PLEASE NOTE
We would want this unit to be open at a minimum of 4 days a week (ideally more, and hours to be agreed in advance).
We will prioritise those that cannot normally afford project space, or have lost their own site due to the cost of living crisis/ funding being withdrawn.
