A group exhibition exploring the functionality (or lack there of) in everyday settings and objects.
Supported by Hypha Studios, STUN Gallery explores the loss of the high street. By bringing workshops and art events to the Wallsend scene, they hope to gain meaningful engagement with the public enhancing their future works.
Catrin Bell-Jackson’s paintings, carvings and sculptures highlight hope and loss in the lives of vulnerable people, living in supported housing in the North East.
Maya Griffiths is an artist working with installation and sculpture, creating environments that engage with feelings of expectation and awkwardness. The work is about navigating through a playground of the familiar and unfamiliar to try to understand.
Miranda Mullen is an interdisciplinary artist from Dorset. Her work examines “The Death of Detail”. In this exhibition, she studies utensils with design details that have been rendered obsolete – the functions they serve no longer hold value in people’s lives. But aren’t they charming?
