From overheating flats and flooding basements, to new tropical diseases and unfamiliar plants: the climate crisis is here, and it is changing our lives faster and more profoundly than we realise. But Londoners are taking action.

London’s Climate Story Bank is the first project in the UK to explore how the climate crisis is affecting London and its inhabitants using their lived experiences, artworks and testimonies.

Featuring a mixture of artworks, interviews and found materials, London’s Climate Story Bank is an exhibition to learn about the wide-ranging impacts of the climate crisis, to share your own stories, and to be inspired by the Londoners fighting back.

London’s Climate Story Bank is curated by illustrator and educator Nina Carter and climate writer and policy specialist Martha Dillon, who together formerly founded and ran critically acclaimed climate magazine It’s Freezing in LA!, among other community climate events and projects.

The gallery is level access, with step-free access available from Bank station. Large print captions are available, and we are happy to arrange private viewings to facilitate other accessibility needs, please email [email protected].
