Mayfair Exhibition Space

We are looking for a group exhibitions for free gallery space in the heart of London’s Mayfair. We are looking to programme a series of three exhibitions, each occupation running for around a month. The first exhibition will coincide with Frieze London & will have a public opening during Frieze Week.

You should apply as a curator overseeing a group show or be a collective of self-organising artists. We are looking for exhibitions with strong & considered curatorial themes.

This space lends itself extremely well to large-scale sculptural works that will make a statement & be seen from the street. Please carefully look at the photographs to consider how your work will use the gallery, its inbuilt shelving & large TV screen. Please carefully think how you will use the characteristics of the space to best present your works.

The space comprises one main room, roughly 2000 SQ FT/185 sqm, & a small office/display space. The site is offered for free. In return you will use the space fully for the duration of your awarded period & organise some public-facing events as part of your occupation. These could be workshops, talks, performances or any other events which support your creative practices & curatorial programme.

This opportunity is open to curators or artists that can easily access the space, so living in London and can easily access Central London is critical. We will prioritise those that cannot normally afford exhibition space & for whom this opportunity might help reach the next stage of their career.
