PUBLIC PROGRAMME
In this former Aston Martin boutique, the group are re-purposing their ‘Art of Living’ strap line as our title. We will create a sculpture exhibition that directly responds to the luxury brand’s former Mayfair site. The display will acknowledge the commercial aspect of the boutique – shelves will sell small works as ‘product’. There will be a focus on larger works as ‘window display.’ The large screen will loop Sophie Cunningham’s ‘Consumption of Beige Bag.’ Within the context of Mayfair, the exhibition engages with the concept of value, the material nature of possessions, and raise questions about our aspirational consumerist society.
