Raquel Blazquez

Raquel Blazquez is a self-taught figurative and mural artist. Through her paintings she shares her own thoughts and emotions, and she explores human consciousness, trauma, and connection, while hoping to help herself and others heal.

Public Programme

Raquel plans to develop her project on women’s connections, collecting stories about women’s relationships with each other, holding meetings and photo shoots to contribute to an exhibition. She also plans to do creative workshops where mindfulness, meditation and movement are used to connect participants to the present moment and to themselves, and through play to explore creativity and the subconscious. As a member of the Bristol Mural Collective, Raquel is also considering life painting events for the public where murals are created on placards.
