Shifting Choreographies is a group exhibition that interrogates the politics of bodies and objects in space through sound, moving image, sculpture, audience participation, writing, photography and performance.

Visitors are invited to become active participants, touching, moving, witnessing, reading and reflecting, as they move through the exhibition.

Taking choreography as its starting point, the show explores how embodied and material gestures can challenge, subvert and re-imagine visibility, memory, ritual, intimacy, language and encounter. Works draw on queer and diasporic experiences, illness and recovery, erotics, posthuman futurities and more, creating a broad and speculative interpretation of choreography as both method and metaphor. In doing so, the exhibition reimagines new ways of inhabiting the present, while carrying traces of what has been and gesturing towards what is yet to come.
