Conglomerates is an exhibition featuring selected film, sculpture and textile works by artists Paola Bascón, Rhiannon Hunter, Rona Lee, Hannah Morgan, Davinia-Ann Robinson and Sam Williams. The distinct artworks come together to create a dialogue within an expanded matrix of ecology, care and multi-species liveability. The exhibition explores care formed through relations with self and other beings that provide openings into worlds that move beyond selfhood to create substrates for resistance, deep-knowing, storying, and kinning as processes of paying attention to that which is unheard.

Conglomerates is produced by Surface Matters, and Curated by Surface Matters founder, Rhiannon Hunter. Surface Matters is an artist led platform est. 2019 to create a space for peer-to-peer dialogue, learning and visibility for artists that are concerned with human-and-non-human connections, relationships with place, being and making. Surface Matters is ever evolving, learning and shifting.

To accompany Conglomerates are a series of workshop and performance events by artists Davinia-Ann Robinson, Sam Williams, Paola Bascón. Registration and information for these events will be publicised on Instagram at @surface.matters and @hyphastudios
