SPOILED PROPAGANDA: grafting bio-futurism

A group exhibition centered on bio-integrated design: practices that work with ecological systems, biological materials, digital technologies and novel fabrication methods in service of reestablishing relationships between humans and “nature.” The exhibition will bring together works ranging from lab-grown materials and digitally fabricated habitats to sculptures designed to support ecological regeneration and rehabilitation.
Rather than mimicking nature, these works ask what it means to design with living systems as collaborators. The artists hope to create an immersive, accessible environment that invites visitors to encounter new ways of engaging with our ecosystems for mutual benefit and longevity; and to inspire care for ourselves, one-another, and more-than human worlds.
